Rani knows to draw a line between fact and fiction

Rani Mukherjee has played wifely roles in as many as seven films till now. Yet the actress doesn’t delude herself into thinking that she has any insight into the life of a married woman.
Rani draws a clear line between what is fact and what is fiction. She may have acquired the expertise in essaying homely roles on screen, but she frankly denies having any special insight into the mind of a married woman.
“They are mere hypothetical roles. I don’t look for any serious lessons of life in them. It is my job to play them, and I try to do my work well,” said the actress.
To make her point clear, Rani cites an example: “In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai I urge my daughter to find a new mom for herself, but I’m not sure if I can be as large hearted in real life.”
Rani's point is that every actor must decipher the line where fiction ends and reality begins.
