No matter how much fictitious the story of a girl’s obsession for another girl sounds, Girlfriend director Karan Razdan insists that his movie is inspired from a real life incident.
Karan did not have to search hard for the idea to make his ‘Girlfriend’ which is about the possessiveness of one woman towards another.
In the movie Isha Koppikar plays a woman who is very possessive about her friend Amrita Arora . So when Amrita finds herself a good looking boyfriend, Isha feels jealous and does everything in her power to break their relationship.
Karan says that he was inspired from one of his real life incidents for the movie. The director confesses that a hot babe was quite obsessed with his girlfriend and even attempted to spoil their relationship. However, Karan realized it soon enough and put an end to all her deceitful ideas. He then translated his real life story into the script of ‘Girlfriend’.
