Sanjay Leela Bhansali ‘s first film with Amitabh Bachchan ‘Black’ focuses on a part of life that every human has to go through. A dark phase of despair that every human has to overcome.

The story of ‘Black’ is set in Shimla and the cold snowy weather will be shown on screen to its full affect. And after the first session of shooting for the film in January, Bhansali’s crew and the starcast of the film are returning to Shimla.

The crew will arrive in Shimla during the second week of July for a 25-30 day schedule.

The arrangements for the unit are elaborate and all the 28 rooms at Shimla´s Woodwell hotel will be reserved for the films unit and while Bachchan will stay at Royal Suite, Rani Mukherjee will be staying at the Princely room.

After completing the Shimla portion of ´Black´ the unit will proceed to New Zealand for the remaining part of the movie.

Rani plays a deaf and blind Christian girl in the film. Both Rani and Nandana Dev Sen play sisters.

Bachchan plays the role of a teacher of deaf and blind and teaches Rani. It is rumoured that Bachchan learned sign language for the movie.

‘Black’ is a musical but an intense drama between the three principal characters of Bachchan, Rani and Nandana.

‘Black’ has no songs but only background score provided by Mychael Danna and is slated to release in August this year.
