SCOOP!! & NEWS Akshay may join Babul 12th Aug 2004  19.45 IST By Nitika Desai   Director Ravi Chopra is reported to have approached Akshay Kumar to play an important role in his forthcoming family drama. Spurred by his previous hit venture Baghban , Ravi is putting in his best for his next movie Babul that stars Amitabh Bachchan , Hema Malini , Rani Mukherjee and Salman Khan in the main roles. But the cast of Chopra’s Babul is still not complete. The director has approached Akshay Kumar to play an important role in the film. If Akshay agrees, he will play the man with whom Amitabh tries to fix the marriage of his widowed daughter-in-law (Rani). Salman plays Bachchan’s son the movie. The shooting for Babul will begin in September. The movie will be shot in Delhi, Mumbai and a foreign city that might either be London or Russia.
