Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur ’s first film together Fida is a movie about love, money, intrigue, betrayal and vengeance.
Director Ken Ghosh has made a commendable attempt by incorporating different elements in his second directorial venture.
The initial reels of the movie focus of Shahid’s love for Kareena and the chemistry between the two. A little later, the focus shifts to money when Kareena’s character Neha reveals to Jai (Shahid) that she need to pay back 60 million rupees to a don within three days.
Then comes the intrigue, in which the gullible Jai is conned into a pact by a rich guy Vikram ( Fardeen Khan ). Soon, Jai is on the run trying to save his life.
But our hero gets the biggest jolt out of blue when he accidentally discovers that his own beloved Neha has betrayed him for money. Heart-broken and furious, he seeks revenge.
What is particularly likeable about Fida is the neatness with which all these elements are blended into a single story. The movie is technically sound and has good performances by leading cast. The chemistry between Shahid and Kareena is particularly incredible.
