Dhoom subsides and Phir Milenge sinks in US and UK 01st Sept 2004

The two Bollywood releases of last Friday – Dhoom and Phir Milenge – have fared poorly in the US and UK in the first week of their run at the theatres.
In the US, Dhoom opened at No. 42 position while Phir Milenge was still 20 places below at No. 62.
According to the estimates revealed, Dhoom has collected $ 102,860 on 32 screens (per screen average $ 3,214), while Phir Milenge collected a dismal sum of $ 37,460 on 27 screens (per screen average $ 1,387).
In the UK, Dhoom opened at 18th position, while Phir Milenge was two places behind at 20th position.
Estimates say that Dhoom collected £ 61,838 on 25 screens (per screen average £ 2,474) while Phir Milenge fared quite poorly, collecting £ 41,617 on 25 screens (per screen average £ 1,665).
