SCOOP!! & NEWS Mallika’s ‘hot shot’ may come under Censor scissors07th Oct 2004 18.24 IST By Aparajita Ghosh A lot of wind seems to be blowing at the Censor Board to clip a ‘skirt-flying’ scene featuring Mallika Sherawat in the movie Kis Kis Ki Kismat . The movie, directed by Govind Mennon, has Mallika playing a young college going girl who finds a well-wisher and benefactor in a rich stock broker (played by Dharmendra ).
There is a scene in the movie that shows Mallika clad in a short red frilly outfit with her skirt flying into the air and exposing her undergarment. The scene is the recreation of Marilyn Monroe's ‘Seven Year Itch’ pose. Apparently, folks at Censors have objected to the use of scene in film’s promos and there is a possibility that the scene may altogether be clipped from the movie. Mallika is unsparing in her criticism of the Indian Censor board, which, in her opinion, “are a bunch of geriatrics” with a “stupid attitude”. She also points out the oddity that although 70 percent of Indian population is under the age of 30 but everyone in the Censor Board is aged more than 50.
