After the recent adaptations of Bengali classics like Devdaas and Chokher Bali , now it is time for Saratchandra Chattopadhyay's novel ‘Parineeta’ to be recreated on celluloid one more time. There are already two earlier film versions of Parineeta starring actors like Meena Kumari, Ashok Kumar, Jeetendra and Sulakshana Pandit.
This time taking the initiative to translate Chattopadhyay's novel to a movie is filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra .
The film, starring Sanju, Saif and Raima will go on floors in Darjeeling from Oct 30 for a start to finish schedule of 65 days during which it will be shot in Kolkata and Mumbai.
The film will be directed by filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, who has been associated with Vinod Chopra Productions since Mission Kashmir .
