Sanjay Leela Bhansali has postponed his forthcoming film ‘Black’, which was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on 10th December.
Reason? That’s because Bhansali has been advised against releasing it on that day because its is the Amavasya (no moon/´black´) week.
So what about next week? That’s also highly unlikely because in that week Shah Rukh Khan starrer Swades is slated to hit the theatres.
So now possibility is that ‘Black’, which is produced jointly by Bhansali and Kumar Mangalam Birla´s ´Applause Entertainment´, will hit the screen on either December 24 or 31.
The story of the film is set in Shimla and the cold snowy weather will be shown on screen to its full affect.
Rani plays a deaf and blind Christian girl in the film, while Bachchan plays the role of a teacher of deaf and blind and teaches Rani. It is rumoured that Bachchan learned sign language for the movie.
‘Black’ is a musical but an intense drama between the three principal characters of Bachchan, Rani and Nandana, who plays Rani’s sister in the film.
‘Black’ has no songs but only background score provided by Mychael Danna.
