The much talked-about ABCL project Ranveer that was going to bring together father-son duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan has been put on hold. Bachchan is rather committing himself to another project titled ‘Family’ that will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi .
According to what is learnt from reports, Bachchan was not happy about the way the script of Ranveer had turned out despite an excellent concept. In his words, if he and sonny Abhishek have to come together on screen it has to meet the gargantuan expectations of viewers.
So, while Ranveer has not been abandoned, but only put on hold for the time being, Bachchan is starting another project that will be jointly produced by A.B. Corp. and Keshu Ramsay's D.M.S. Films.
The film will star Amitabh and Akshay Kumar in the lead. The female cast of the film has still not been disclosed. The film will also introduce Keshu Ramsay’s son.
While the ‘Family’ is expected to roll shortly, Bachchan makes it clear that Ranveer will definitely be made sometime although it may not cast him and Abhishek together.
