Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav: Excitement has a new name!

Contrary to the general notion, Mahesh Manjrekar’s Padmashree Laloo Prasad Yadav is not a political satire but an out-and-out action comedy about three characters Laloo, Prasad and Yadav who are smitten with a girl named Padma.

Directed by Manjrekar and produced by Sagoon Wagh-Manik Bedi, the movie stars Sunil Shetty , Masumeh Makhija , Mahesh Manjrekar , Johnny Lever , Kim Sharma and Anupama Varma .

The film tells that story of Laloo (Sunil Shetty), a man whose heart skips a beat at the very sight of any girl. He suffers from an unusual psychological disorder called ‘shesightophrenia’ in which he gets aroused at the mere sight of the opposite sex. He is in love (or that’s what he thinks) with his girlfriend Padma (Masumeh Makhija), but still he can’t remain loyal to her because of his irrepressible desires.

Fed up of Laloo’s playboyish ways, Padma walks out on him and despite Laloo’s countless apologies, she goes to Cape Town to get some jewels stolen from her father by his cheating partner.

Laloo joins Padma in Cape Town and together with a local goon Yadav (Johnny Lever) they rob the bank in which diamonds are. The robbery is a success but one of their men ends up in the hands of police. To know where the man hid diamonds before being caught, Padma plays her charming games on his lawyer Prasad (Mahesh Manjrekar).

Things further get complex as all three men Laloo, Prasad and Yadav fall victim to Padma’s charms but all she wants is diamonds!
