Former Spice Girl Emma Bunton came to Mumbai last week and lived a few days like an Indian celebrity while shooting for a documentary for BBC2. Now, it is the turn of Bollywood babe Sameera Reddy to go to Britain and live a few days of Emma’s lifestyle.
The ‘celebrity-swap’ documentary is a notable attempt at recording the cultural and lifestyle differences in two societies in different parts of the world.
First it was the British singer-actress Emma Bunton who came to Mumbai and lived a few days like Bollywood’s item girl Sameera Reddy does. Sameera herself sat with the BBC and planned what Emma would do – she got Emma dressed in Rocky S outfits and even scheduled an item song for her.
Emma shot for a song sequence for the Bollywood film titled Pal Tham Gaya. The song appears in the film as an engagement song with actors Soha Ali Khan and Sammir Dattani.
Later, Emma also made an appearance at F-awards, besides attending some parties and meeting celebrities from the film industry.
Now, it is Sameera’s turn to pack her bags and fly to Britain to live a few days of Emma’s life. She will be going to London and Bristol to get a taste of Emma’s lifestyle – shopping and making a guest appearance in the hit series ‘Casualty’.
Sameera is presently shooting for director Buddhadeb Dasgupta’s Bengali film in Kolkata. She will leave for London from there on November 28 and will be back in time for the release of her movie Musafir .
