SCOOP!! & NEWS Shwaas appreciated in US 16th Dec 2004  11.40 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau   Sandeep Sawant’s film Shwaas has received an overwhelming response in the United States following its theatrical release. Winner of this year’s National award, Shwaas is India's official entry to the prestigious Oscars in the foreign film category. According to Mr Rajan Cheulkar, one of the producers who is currently in Los Angeles, two shows of the film were held at the Marathi Vishwa Community Centre in New Jersey on December 11. “Both the shows were houseful. Even the response of Americans who saw the film was extremely positive,” Mr Cheulkar is quoted to have said. He informed that Shwaas has been released in ‘Bombay Talkies’ theatre in New York and Asian American Theatre in Manhattan.
