Now she is gearing for a similar double act in a serial on TV. Hema Malini, who is also Rajya Sabha MP, gets ready to enact her first double role on the television screen in Ravi Chopra's new serial Kamini Damini. 
Hema is breezing with the same excitement as a debutant actor doing his/her first double role. ''It is several years after "Seeta Aur Geeta" that I am doing a double role. For me, doing a double role on television is further exciting since working on television, one gets to enact the role in greater detail,'' the actress said at a press conference in New Delhi last night to announce the launch of the TV serial, to be telecast on Sahara One from December 27. To be telecast on Sahara from Mondays to Thursdays at the 2200 hrs slot, the serial is being produced and directed by Ravi Chopra, whose banner, B R Films. Hema was also recently seen in B R Film’s movie Baghban . The story of two middle aged twin sisters Kamini and Damini, who get separated in their youth but meet again several years later when Damini replaces her sister to solve her problems and protect her from the tortures of her family members, the serial stars Hema Malini in the roles of Kamini and Damini. ''Seeta Aur Geeta was my most successful film. So, when, several years after "Seeta Aur Geeta", the opportunity arose to play another double role in a television serial, the offer was too tempting for me to resist,'' Hema said.
