SCOOP!! & NEWS Big B to return with ‘KBC’ in July06th Jan 2005 21.30 IST By Aparajita Ghosh Cine icon Amitabh Bachchan will return to the small screen in July this year with the revived version of his show Kaun Banega Crorepati. It has been more than two years since Bachchan’s hit show KBC was shelved after a long period of spectacular run on Star television. The inimitable superstar was the only Bollywood celebrity who succeeded where others like Manisha Koirala and Govinda failed miserably.
Bachchan got busy in his Bollywood projects after KBC went off the air. But now he is committing to the producers of the show for its revival in July 2005. Confirming this, Bachchan told a news agency: “Yes, KBC will be revived in July 2005. I kept shifting the date because of my film commitments. But now I don't think delaying KBC makes any sense. While I still have my wits I better get down to it. So I'll make time for KBC in July.” Bachchan added that both he and the producers of the show felt that there should be some novelty in KBC when it returns in July. “There has to be some novelty in KBC now. Otherwise there's little sense in reviving it. We're coming back after so many years! Maybe, we'll introduce some exciting new changes to get the audience hooked again,” Bachchan was quoted to have said. He is committed to doing 82 more episodes before KBC finally closes down.
