SCOOP!! & NEWS Swades crosses a million in US!16th Jan 2005 22.29 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau We recently told you that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Swades has opened to smashing box office responses worldwide. The success story continues. According to reports, Swades has collected $ 1,060,549 upto the third weekend in the United States and in UK the film has collected £ 320,615. 
The total in Indian Rupees from US and UK alone is close to 7.25 crores. In India where the movie isn’t as big a hit as SRK movies normally are, the collections in metros are hovering around 50 to 60 percent. With virtually no competition from the new releases Swades has managed to earn close to 14 crores upto the third weekend and the movie is all set to be at least an average grosser.
