Soha Ali Khan ‘s debut film Dil Maange More hit the theatres last week. And comparisons were definitely drawn with her famed mother and brother Sharmila Tagore and Saif Al Khan .
Talking to a leading newspaper, Soha says that she is not scared of comparisons. She adds that she knows they will happen. But people will see her talent and recognise her. That aside, her mother and brother remain her role models.
On her family’s reaction to her choosing films as a career, Soha said that her family is conservative but they are not rigid. Thankfully, she did not face any opposition from them. Her parents trusted her decision to join films.
But Soha doesn’t want to get typecast and wishes to experiment with all sorts of roles. She wants to be called an actress in the true sense, she says.
Even though she had degrees from Oxford and LSE, Soha says she always wanted to act. Only, she could never tell her parents that. But after she completed her education and had worked for over a year, she thought that she was capable enough to take her own decision.
