SCOOP!! & NEWS Amisha acting pricey?16th Feb 2005 12.09 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau Hardly any of her films lately have been hits, but that hasn't stopped Amisha Patel for acting pricey. Amisha was recently in the news when she publicly severed ties with her family. 
But now her high-handed behaviour with Vashu Bhagnani , producer of her film Shaadi No. 1 , has cost Amisha the female lead role. Rumors are that Amisha has been unceremoniously kicked out of the film even before shooting could commence. Upcoming actress Ayesha Takia has been roped in as her replacement, and has started shooting with Fardeen Khan . Bollywood sources say that Amisha had been giving Bhagnani a tough time and kept haggling about her remuneration. Even Amisha's secretary Rikku Rakeshnath also repeatedly harassed Bhagnani. Sources add that Rikku would tell Bhagnani that Amisha had another lucrative offer from the South, and those dates were clashing with Shaadi No. 1. Rakeshnath assured Bhagnani that Amisha would act in his film provided he doubled her price. Bhagnani didn't like the idea of increasing Amisha's price after the disastrous Vaada which featured her in the lead role. Sources say that Bhagnani hasn't even bothered to reply to Rakeshnath. Shaadi No. 1 marks David Dhawan 's return to Puja Films. The film boasts of a huge star cast including Fardeen, Sanjay Dutt , Zayed Khan , Sharman Joshi, Soha Ali Khan and Koena Mitra . |
