After a de-glamorized role in her previous movie Dhoop, ex-Miss India Gul Panag is being seen in a totally diverse character in the recently released flick Jurm.
Gul doesn’t want to hop onto any other acting offer that comes her way, but rather wants to ‘experiment’ with roles by trying to portray different characters in films.
Her latest release with co-star Bobby DeolJurm is no doubt a complete diversion from the role she had last essayed in Dhoop. Gul dons a very glamorous look in the film.
Bollywood Trade quotes Gul as saying: “I was aiming for this change because I feel it is important to do all kinds of cinema to establish your identity as an actor. It is the easiest thing for an artiste to be typecast in the industry and I definitely don't want to be typified as an art house character or for that matter a sex bomb.”
Gul added that she is not averse to wearing revealing outfits if it suits the role. She said she was also open to doing item numbers in films only after she has made her niche in the tinsel town.
Gul’s next movie will be Phir Zindagi in which she plays a conservative young girl hailing from a middle-class family. But the second half of that movie will show her transition from a simple girl to a glamorous femme fatale.
