Ash and Vivek’s first film Kyon, Ho Gaya Na bit the dust at the marquee last year and broke the confidence of film distributors in the real-life couple’s prospects on big screen.
But filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj insists that this is not the reason for the delay in his movie Timbuctoo which is supposed to cast Ash and Vivek together.
The movie is based on a story from IAR Wylie’s novel. The novel had been adapted to script by Abbas Tyrewala.
Bhardwaj asserts that the film was shelved after some of his friends pointed out big flaws in the script. So the script is being redone.
Meanwhile, Bhardwaj is focusing on his movie Chhatri Chor which is the cinematic adaptation of Ruskin Bond short story ‘Blue Umbrella’.
