In life, they have become very good chums. In director Dharmesh Darshan's soon-to-be-released movie Bewafaa , Sushmita Sen and Kareena Kapoor play sisters. Sush plays the elder one who is married to the character played by Anil Kapoor . But then in a sudden twist of fate Sush dies and Kareena is married to Anil, against her wishes. 
Akshay Kumar plays Kareena's love interest in the movie. Speaking about the onscreen chemistry between Sush and Kareena, the movie's director told Bollywood Trade: "I was very firm with Kareena from the beginning that I wanted her to have a great relationship with Sushmita. If the two were not comfortable, the bonding of the two sisters would not come across onscreen, which was the basis of the film." In Darshan's words, Sush was wonderfully gracious about extending a hand of friendship despite the fact that Kareena played the central character. And the director asserts that the two hit it off very well, making great on-screen sisters. Bewafaa is a film that seems to have brought Sush and Kareena together not only on screen but in life as well. The two are reported to have become very good friends now. |
