SCOOP!! & NEWS Skeletons tumble out of Shakti Kapoor’s closet15th Mar 2005 19.22 IST By Nitika Desai With the disrepute he has faced after being caught on camera in a sting operation, many other past acts bearing the stamp of indecency by Shakti Kapoor are coming into light. Did Shakti Kapoor really act when he played villain in films? Or did he just play himself? The answer to this perhaps lies in an overview of some instances of his public behavior. 
According to an IANS report, the Bollywood villain has been unwelcome in South Africa for a long time. Why? Because at one of the shows in late 80s, he dropped his pants on stage in front of children and families. The show was held at the Chatsworth Stadium in SA, and hundreds of families, including children, were present. Kapoor was reportedly very liberal with expletives for journalists when he got on stage and then, in an instinctive impulse, he dropped his pants and turned his back towards the audience, saying this is what he thought of a particular journalist. At another show, the inauguration of Durban's Curries Fountain, Shakti reportedly came on stage in an inebriated state and gave a long slurred speech to the audience who jeered and booed at him. Shakti was also accused of uncultured behavior at the music shows he did with Bappi Lahiri in South Africa in the 80s. And why go that far back in the past. Just last year, Shakti was asked by one of the political candidates in Mumbai to campaign for him in the assembly elections. Shakti was spitfire with abusive language for the opposition candidate in the campaign. So much so that the candidate that had asked Shakti for campaign excused himself from the actor. And now Shakti is caught on camera making an indecent proposal to a journalist posing as an aspiring actress and making unsavory remarks against some Bollywood personalities.
