SCOOP!! & NEWS I am sorry: Shakti Kapoor16th Mar 2005 09.11 IST By Agencies Just another day he was caught on camera telling the ‘supposedly struggling actress’ that no body can ‘touch’ her if his hand is over her. And now he is apologizing to the entire Bollywood fraternity. Yes, Shakti Kapoor has recovered from his ‘hangover’ and has sent a handwritten letter of apology to those he had 'unintentionally hurt' by his remarks that Bollywood bigwigs were seeking sexual favours in return for film roles.
The letter states: “To whomsoever it may concern, this is to the entire film industry." "I, Shakti Kapoor, say sorry and apologise if I have anytime hurt anybody. I have been misunderstood. It was the entire network’s aim to frame me." Taking the names of Yash Chopra , Subhash Ghai , Rani Mukherjee , Preity Zinta , and Aishwarya Rai he adds, “ Yash Johar was like a father to me. With folded hands I apologise to the entire film industry, including Subhash Ghai, Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee, who are close to me. I had no intention to hurt them.” Kapoor adds, “The whole thing was doctored and tampered and, in case they still feel hurt, I am ready to apologise again I, Shakti Kapoor, need your support to stand by me in the industry because I have been framed. But if I have hurt anybody please forgive me.” Will this apology please Bollywood?
