SCOOP!! & NEWS Ash on a ‘picnic’ in US20th Mar 2005 22.38 IST By Agencies The gorgeous Aishwarya Rai has wrapped up the shooting for Paul Berges’ much talked about ‘Mistress Of Spices’ in England. And now she recently left for the US she said that her trip there would not be short of any picnic. Ash still finds it hard to believe that they finished the entire shoot of ‘Mistress Of Spices’ in England in about a month. 
Ash added that now they shoot for a week in San Francisco and the film is ready to roll out. It didn’t feel like shooting at all. Gurinder Chadha’s unit is like family after Bride and Prejudice . And that’s why when they were about to leave for the US they didn’t feel like they had shot a movie. It was a picnic, honestly, Ash added. Talking about her character Tilo in ‘Mistress Of Spices’, Ash said that she really worked hard on her look. There was no time to prepare, no rehearsals, so Ash says they had to do it on their own. So Ash had to work out Tilo’s graph, her clothes, her attitude and she also respected the ideas of Gurinder and Paul of the way she needed to be projected and she respected that as after all she said she is always the director’s actress. ‘Mistress Of Spices’ tackles the age-old relationship between the Indian woman and spices. In Ash’s own words, “Aromas from my mother’s kitchen came alive in this film. Paul has gone to great lengths to connect spices with human perceptions.
