The show, on Tuesday evening, had Abhishek donning an exclusively designed silver and gold peacock sherwani by the designer duo.
The show was part of the weeklong Rajasthan Day celebrations that began March 21. The audience was left enthralled when Abhishek appeared on the runway with mother Jaya Bachchan .
Just last month, Abhishek, his father Amitabh Bachchan and sister Shweta had walked the ramp for Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for a fashion show to support the cause of AIDS awareness.
However, the Tuesday’s show was not charity but a part of the ongoing Jaipur Festival aimed at depicting the grandeur of the old city.
As a part of the celebration the designer duo have designed a special line commemorating the beauty of Jaipur called ‘The Pink City’ collection.
Sandeep Khosla is quoted by IANS as saying: “The city of Jaipur with its magnificent architecture, colour and grandeur has been an inspiration for us not only for the pink city collection, but also for our collections in the past.”
Apart from the Pink Collection, Abu and Sandeep will also show other collections such as ‘Raaga’, ‘Rung’, ‘Jamewar’, ‘Naqsh’, ‘Sequence Kilm’, ‘Chikan’, and ‘Sheesha’.
