She avoids limelight, eschews pretension and takes success in her own stride. Sushmita Sen epitomizes a woman with a right mix of beauty, sensibility and grace.

Sush’s credentials include notable achievements. She is the winner of Miss Universe title, a competent actress, a loving mother (of her adopted daughter Renee) and a trustworthy friend. She has “a passion for poetry, writing, and creative thinking.” She doesn’t blow her own horn and abstains from media attention.

In the coming weeks, we will see Sush playing the character of a neglectful mother in the movie Main Aisa Hi Hoon . In Sush’s words, she was initially very apprehensive about her role in the film, as it is in stark contrast to her real self.

But she took the challenge. After all, the real test of an actor comes when he/she has to go beyond his own self and adopt the persona of a character that is in contrast to his/her own personality.

In an interview recently, Sush called her role in Main Aisa Hi Hoon as one of the favorites of her career. She is also looking forward to Kalpana Lazmi’s film Chingari in which she plays a prostitute.

Apart from these two films, Sush is also doing David Dhawan’s laugh-riot Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya and director Nikhil Advani’s next flick. She also recently signed Tanuja Chandra 's ‘Runway’ in which she will portray a woman from Gujarat during the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

About her personal life, Sush talks discreetly. While she dismisses the rumor of her split with Randeep Hooda, she adds that they have to sort out certain things about their relationship. Marriage, she says, will happen at the right time. But it is certainly not in the near future.
