Eighteen-year-old Sneha Ullal did not have any wish to act in Bollywood films until the day she got a call from Salman Khan .

Sneha was doing her graduation in B.Com from Mumbai’s MMK College when she was spotted by Salman’s sister Arpita in the college campus. In those days Salman was looking for a fresh face to play his heroine in Lucky – No Time For Love and when Arpita insisted him on calling Sneha, the handsome Khan obliged.

At first, Sneha thought that Salman’s phone call was a prank. But later when the film’s directors Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao called her for an audition, Sneha knew it wasn’t a joke. She went for the screen test and was on the verge of writing her own destiny.

A shy girl who had never thought of acting in films got a plum assignment and went to shoot with Salman in Russia. And her very first shot required her to roll down from a snow-clad mountain with Salman.

“I didn’t know how to do that so Salman curled his legs around mine. Shooting in Russia wasn’t easy. I tore a ligament, bruised my feet,” a report quotes Sneha as saying.

Sneha takes the comparisons of her looks to Aishwarya Rai in her own stride. She says while she feels flattered “to be compared with such a beautiful woman”, still she would “like to be known as Sneha and not Ash-lookalike”.

And Sneha is all praise for Salman whom she calls “gem of a person”.

Sneha has also been signed to play the love interest of Sohail Khan in a boxing drama titled ‘Aryan’.

‘Lucky – No Time for Love’ is slated to hit the theatres on April 8.
