SCOOP!! & NEWS ‘Mumbai Xpress’: Crime meets confusion11th Apr 2005 22.08 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau Kamal Haasan’s forthcoming film ‘Mumbai Xpress’ is a comedy of errors. The movie unfolds a kidnap drama involving many hilarious situations. Kamal Haasan and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao – the duo that made entertainers like Pushpak and Appu Raja – are back to entertain you in their unique style with their latest movie ‘Mumbai Xpress’.

The cast of the two versions is largely separate except for the lead pair - Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala and the boy. The film has Kamal playing a spunky character known as Mumbai Xpress. His original name is Avinash and he is a motorcycle stunt artist in a touring mela. Avinash no more wants to flirt with crime. He wants to be law abiding. Unfortunately the only law he could abide by is the Murphy's Law – ‘If something can go wrong...it will.’ ‘Mumbai Xpress’ boasts of some daredevil stunts by Kamal Haasan. One sequence in the movie shows him walking to the tip of a tower crane perched on the 36th floor of a building. Another mind-boggling stunt is said to be Kamal riding his bike over roofs of slums. In another action scene, Kamal ended up with a minor injury after the throttle of his bike got stuck and he fell from it. ‘Mumbai Xpress’ is not without titillators.
