Rani adds zing to Fanta with new ad

Intensifying the heat of soft drink war this summer, Coca Cola has unveiled the latest ad campaign for its brand Fanta, with Bollywood diva Rani Mukherjee promoting the new Spin look.

Rani joins Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan , who have already hit the small screen with the new commercials of cola brands they promote.

While Aamir in a double role does a drag for Coke this summer, SRK anchors the ''Oye Bubbly'' ad for Pepsi.

Mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan goes a step further with an entire song ''Oye Bubbly'' picturised on him. The song also stars Priety Zinta .

Coca Cola has given a new shape to Fanta through a spin bottle, representing the spirit of the drink and the bottle resembles an orange, the brand's cornerstone flavour.

In the commercial that rolled out on April 10, Rani promotes the orange drink with the punchline ''masti ne liya naya shape'', positioning the new pack as the pack of fun.

''We are very excited about the innovative Fanta Spin bottle, which reflects the brand values of being a Fun Catalyst. Fanta Spin has had a very good response internationally and we are very positive that our consumers will enjoy the new look and feel of Fanta,'' Coca-Cola India (Vice-President Marketing) Vikas Gupta said.

Fanta's new avatar is being launched in a mobile pack size across the country in a phased manner. The product will be launched across India over next few weeks.

The new Fanta TV commercial with Rani is part of the company's integrated marketing campaign for promoting the new look, he said.

A number of on-ground activities like road-shows covering youth hangouts in the city with exciting games like spin your future, spin bowling, juggling contest, write in a slogan and ''win an Akai MP3 Music Player'' have been planned to keep up the excitement this summer, Gupta added.
