SCOOP!! & NEWS Urmila, Ramu make up!13th Apr 2005 20.26 IST By Nitika Desai Urmila Matondkar and Ram Gopal Varma have decided to let bygones be bygones. There was a time when their names became almost synonymous. Any project by Ramu invariably bore the name Urmila in its credits. But times changed and there was fallout between the two for the reasons that never came to light. 
Some gossipmongers believed (and still do) that Urmila was put off by Ramu’s bent towards Antara Mali . But such fancy talk seems to have little merit. In a recent interview Urmila said that “there never was any fallout” between her and Ramu. She said it is unfair to expect Ramu to cast her in every single film of his even when the roles did not suit her. In fact, looking back, it appears that the so-called ‘fallout’ between the two was for good. Urmila got to prove her acting range and potential in a number of films. And Ramu too experimented with other heroines and promoted fresh talent. And now we learn that Ramu and Urmila will team together for the filmmaker’s next movie that will go on floors in June. Ramu, who unabashedly declares that he neither has any friends nor enemies, says that he has only single criterion for casting actresses for his films. Their suitability to the role. |
