Bollywood’s original ‘dance diva’ Helen has been signed to play an important role in Hollywood director Willard Carroll’s movie ‘Marigold’.
The veteran actress will play the role of Salman Khan ’s grandmother in the film. According to reports, it was Carroll’s idea to rope in Helen for the small but significant role in the film.
In the past, Helen has played Salman’s mother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam . Of late, she is seen quite rarely in Bollywood films. The last film she did was Atul Agnihotri’s Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha.
The shooting for Marigold – An Adventure in India is presently underway in Mumbai. The movie is likely to be wrapped by May end this year.
