SCOOP!! & NEWS ‘Page 3’ at Los Angeles film fest21st Apr 2005 17.45 IST By AKC Bureau Madhur Bhandarkar’s critically acclaimed movie Page 3 has been selected for a Los Angeles film festival. The raw and gritty look of the movie and the authentic depiction of the lives of page 3 celebrities in the film has already won Madhur Bhandarkar much appreciation and box-office success in India. 
And now the news of his film’s selection for a Los Angeles festival has thrilled the filmmaker. Reacting to the news, Bhandarkar told an agency: “I consider it a great honour for the film to be selected for the festival, considering the many acclaimed international films it is being paired with.” Bhandarkar believes that the selection of ‘Page 3’ at the LA film fest will bring it great exposure all over the world. It is learnt that the jury of the festival was very impressed with the realistic portrayal of the cocktail party circuit in the film, besides the trauma of a journalist (played by Konkana Sen ) depicted in the film.
