Bengali belle Konkana Sen will play a bored wife in Rajat Kapoor's next film ‘Mixed Doubles’.
Rajat Kapoor’s previous movie Raghu Romeo may not have clicked at the box-office, but it did get critical acclaim plus the National Award for the Best Feature Film.
A motivated Rajat is now gearing up to make a film on the subject of marriage and sexuality. The movie will feature Konkana as a wife whose marriage with Ranvir Sheorey has lost its physical sparkle after 10 years.
The story gets complicated after an incident of spouse swapping when the sleeping partners get accidentally exchanged with another couple played by Koel Purie and Rajat Kapoor .
‘Mixed Couples’ will be presented by Sunil Doshi of Handmade Productions. Rajat’s estimated budget for the movie is around Rs.10 million. He is planning to shoot the film in a one-month start-to-finish schedule.
