The shooting of Salman Khan ’s film ‘Marigold’ was stopped and the crew was asked to leave the Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) because the shoot coincided with an animal census being carried in the area.
The film, directed by Hollywood director Willard Carroll, had hardly been shot for a day near Kanheri Caves in SGNP when the Animal Welfare Board of the park asked the team to halt the shooting and leave the forest.
The producers of the film had reportedly taken permission from the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to shoot at Kanheri Caves. However, the shooting coincided with the leopard counting going on in the area.
The issue was settled amicably between the film’s crew and the forest department officials.
Marigold – An Adventure in India tells the story of an American actress who comes to act in a Bollywood film and is stranded in India.
