She is just three films old, but with some interesting films in hand, Ayesha Takia seems to be making big strides in Bollywood.
Ayesha, who got the Filmfare Award for Best Newcomer (for the film, ‘Tarzan - The Wonder Car’, her first release), was last seen in Socha Na Tha .
Socha Na Tha was the first film that Ayesha had signed as a 16-year-old even though ‘Tarzan – the Wonder Car’ was her first release.
But these two films and Dil Maange More have helped Ayesha with some plump assignments in Bollywood.
It took two successful music videos – first with Falguni Pathak, ‘Meri Chunnar Ud Ud Jaye’ when she was 15 and then the grooving music video ‘Shake It Daddy’ when she was 16, which helped Ayesha gain entry in Bollywood.
Ayesha has also done a Telugu film, ‘Vaadu Nenu’ with Nagarjuna and her next release in Bollywood is a hilarious comedy - David Dhawan ‘s ‘Shaadi No. 1’ - a multi-starrer, about three married couples.
Then Ayesha is also doing a movie ‘Home Delivery’ opposite Vivek Oberoi with Sujoy Ghosh who made ‘Jhankaar Beats’. The films also stars Paresh Rawal and Boman Irani .
Ayesha also stars in the directorial debut of Naseeruddin Shah , which stars Konkana Sen Sharma , Rahul Bose , Paresh Rawal and Arshad Warsi will also act in that film, which is about 9/11. It has four stories and is a Hinglish film.
