We have already told you that J. P. Dutta is remaking the classic 'Umrao Jaan' with Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. But there is a certain man whom the former Miss World wants desperately opposite her in the film.
No prizes for guessing that man is none other than Akshay Kumar .
The hero for 'Umrao Jaan' is yet to be decided and reports are that Priyanka is putting all her pressure on Dutta for zeroing on Akshay as both have given a good number of hit films like Andaaz, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Waqt – A Race Against Time to name a few.
But the problem is that Dutta hasn't forgotten his insult when Akshay had declined his LoC Kargil offer.
When Dutta was finalizing the cast of ‘LoC Kargil’, he had invited Akshay to meet him for listening to the script, but Akshay hadn't gone and had rather told Dutta to come to narrate it during his shoot.
An embarrassed Dutta had then written off Akshay's name from cast of LoC Kargil.
Only time will tell whether Dutta will succumb under Priyanka’s pressure, forget the past and cast Akshay as the leading man in 'Umrao Jaan'.
Wonder what Twinkle Khanna will think about Priyanka pressurizing Dutta to cast Akshay as the leading man in 'Umrao Jaan'.
