SCOOP!! & NEWS Aishwarya epitomizes beauty and humility07th June 2005 21.15 IST By Nitika Desai Bollywood stunner Aishwarya Rai is the epitome of beauty, talent and humility. It is quite rare that these qualities manifest in a single personality. Almost a decade ago, Aishwarya won the Miss World crown and also won heart of many who have long since admired her ethereal beauty. And although years have gone by since then, Ash’s beauty seems to be blossoming further. Just a week back, she was voted the ninth most beautiful woman in the world in a poll conducted by Harpers and Queen magazine for its July issue.
Ash takes her ever-increasing fame with humility. Responding to her inclusion in the top ten beautiful women in the world, Ash told NDTV that she felt “honored” to represent Indian women on international arena. “The title (Miss World) wasn't about being a beauty queen, it wasn't about being the Miss World. It was about representing the Indian woman internationally and I thank God that I still have the chance to do that time and time again,” she told the channel. Just a few days back, Ash also featured on the cover of the popular Russian magazine, TV Park, which dubbed her as ‘beauty number one’. Ash has already featured on the cover of Time magazine and Chinese magazine Beijing Review. Ash says she has always relished the chance to present to the world the face of the modern Indian woman.
