Aamir Khan , known for his choosy nature in selecting films, has consented to be a part of Vishal Bhardwaj’s next film, shooting for which will begin next year.
The film, tentatively titled ‘Mr Mehta and Mrs Singh’, will have Aamir essaying the role of a business tycoon. The story will track 30yrs of the life of the character Mr Mehta (Aamir). Aamir will don several looks in the movie for different ages of Mr Mehta.
It is believed that Aamir had expressed his desire to do a movie with Bhardwaj about a year back after seeing the director’s much-acclaimed Maqbool . Bhardwaj reportedly approached Aamir with five different scripts out of which one was finalized.
‘Mr Mehta and Mrs Singh’ will be co-produced by Bhardwaj and UTV. Bhardwaj says the movie will be his first attempt at commercial cinema. So far, Vishal has made arthouse films like Makdee , Maqbool and his under-production ‘Blue Umbrella’.
