Actress Raveena Tandon is quite an animal lover. She has four pets and she encourages her friends and relatives to adopt stray dogs. Now, we learn that she is opening an animal hospital.
Films have certainly not been the priority of Raveena ever since she became the mother of the beautiful girl named Rasha. Whatever little time she is able to take out of her home, she has been spending it with Anuradha Sawhney (PETA president) in helping the stray Mumbai dogs find a shelter.
Now Raveena is planning to open an animal hospital and an animal rehabilitation centre in and around Mumbai. Accompanying Raveena in this venture is Sangita Vengsarkar, wife of former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar.
As learnt, the animal hospital will be located in Versova. Raveena says it “will have state-of-the-art medical facilities.”
The animal rehabilitation centre will be located in Mumbai’s suburb at Raveena’s five-acre farmhouse in Vada.
Raveena is reported to have applied for a license for the two institutions.
