It took Ramu just a brief meeting with this 27-year-old jat from Haryana to cast him as the hero of his next production venture James . 
And now when Ramu has announced his plans to remake the Indian cinema’s epic Sholay , Mohit has found a place in the movie. Mohit will play the coveted role of Jai, immortalized by superstar Amitabh Bachchan in the Ramesh Sippy classic. According to Ramu, Mohit has the brooding intensity needed for the role. Tentatively titled Ram Gopal Varma ka Sholay, the film will be a modern rehash of Sholay. Unlike the original flick, Ramu’s movie will not be set in a village but in Mumbai’s underworld. It still remains to be seen as to who will get the roles of the characters Veeru and Gabbar in Ramu’s movie.
