A good number of Bollywood stars have been acting in Bengali films of late.
It came as a surprise when art-house filmmaker Buddhadeb Dasgupta signed Bollywood hottie Sameera Reddy for his movie Kalpurush which is the closing film of the ongoing Osian Cinefan Film Festival in Delhi.
And now we learn that Mahima Chaudhary will star in Bengali filmmaker Kaushik Ganguly's next film ‘Sir’.
In the movie, Mahima will play a solicitor whose values and ethics undergo a change after she meets a blind teacher. Bengali superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee will play the blind teacher in the film.
In the film, Mahima plays a woman who is not from Bengal, therefore she will speak broken Bengali as per the demand of her character.
The film would be shot in the Kalimpong hills of Darjeeling district, where Mahima spent several years of her student life.
