Tamil flick ‘Autograph’ shares this year’s prestigious National Award with Yash Chopra’s Veer Zaara for the best movie providing wholesome entertainment.
Plans are already afoot in Bollywood to remake the movie in Hindi.
Filmmaker Anees Bazmee , will make the movie with Akshaye Khanna spearheading the cast. The three heroines of the movie are yet to be finalized.
Before deciding to be a part of the project, Akshaye, a thorough professional, saw the Tamil movie at a South Mumbai preview theatre. Since he doesn’t understand the language he took along an interpreter who was translating for him the dialogues on the spot.
Akshaye said he was completely glued to the screen throughout the movie. After the screening, the actor gave his word to Anees Bazmee to be the leading hero of the yet-to-be-titled Hindi version of ‘Autograph’.
Akshaye has previously worked in Anees Bazmee’s movie Deewangee . He is presently shooting for ‘36 China Town’ in Bangkok, Thailand.
