Some of actor Jackie Shroff’s forthcoming films will see him playing a bad guy.
After having acted in over 180 films in his career so far, Jackie Shroff is raring to do something different on big screen now. He is lapping roles with negative shades.
The most noteworthy of the roles in his coming films is going to be in Bengali filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh’s Antarmahal that also stars Abhishek Bachchan and Soha Ali Khan .
In the film, Jackie plays an authoritarian landlord who marries a young girl because his wife is barren and unable to bear him a heir.
The good news about Jackie and Rituparno Ghosh is that Antarmahal has been selected for the competitive section of the prestigious Locarno film festival in the best film and best actor categories.
Apart from Antarmahal, Jackie will also play a bad guy in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s movie Yagna.
Incidentally, Jackie played a negative role in Chopra’s Mission Kashmir too.
