HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Ramu plans a sequel to Sarkar02nd Aug 2005 20.15 IST By Aparajita Ghosh Spurred by the good response to his film Sarkar , maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is now planning to make the movie’s sequel. In Ramu’s own words, he has found another excuse to work with the Bachchans. Ramu has already sung accolades of Abhishek Bachchan ’s acting and realized his dream of working with Amitabh Bachchan in Sarkar. 
The Big B is going to be a part of Ramu’s horror flick Darna Zaroori Hai and will play the coveted role of the famous villain Gabbar Singh in Ramu’s sequel to Ramesh Sippy’s classic Sholay . And now we learn that Ramu is planning a sequel to Sarkar. While it goes without saying that the sequel will once again star the Bachchans, what remains to be seen is whether the movie will be adapted from ‘Godfather 2’. Sarkar was Ramu’s personal tribute to Francis Ford Coppola’s 1970s movie ‘The Godfather’. Shooting for the ‘Sarkar’ sequel will begin only after Ram Gopal Varma Ki Sholay is wrapped.
