Karisma-Sunjay rift gets wider

The rift between Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and her husband, Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur, has gotten wider.

Although the real reason behind the differences between Karisma and Sunjay are still not known, their marriage certainly seems to be heading towards a break-up.

Karisma had moved to Mumbai early this year for the birth of her daughter Samaira in March. After that, when she did not return to her husband’s home in Delhi, speculations began that their marriage was on the rocks.

Within weeks of the speculation it was evident that there indeed were certain strains in Karisma’s marriage. Some sources close to Karisma were quoted as saying that the marriage didn’t work because Karisma did not approve of her husband’s lifestyle. Others said that the rift was because Karisma wanted to live in Mumbai and not Delhi. The actress has so far kept silent on her marriage blues.

And now another development has taken place that shows without doubt that the rift between Karisma and Sunjay is widening.

Sunjay has filed a petition in Delhi High Court to prevent Karisma from taking their daughter Samaira out of India.
Sources say Sunjay fears that Karisma might take Samaira to the US.

HC Justice Mukul Mudgal has reportedly sent a notice to Karisma directing her not to take Samaira out of India without Sunjay’s consent.

The actress’ father Randhir Kapoor has denied that Karisma has any intention of taking her daughter out of India.

A notice has also been issued to Mumbai’s Regional Passport Office for issuing Samaira, a minor girl, the passport without the consent of both parents.

No comments have come from Karisma so far.
