Sex and suspense go well together. ‘Double Cross’ aims to cash in on this formula. 
When Nigar Khan plays a stripper in a movie it is bound to raise curiosity, apart from other things, of course. And cast opposite her ex-hubby Sahil (who plays a gigolo), Nigar goes uninhibited and displays her anatomy in the ways seldom seen in Bollywood. As the movie’s story goes, Sahil (Sahil Khan) is an uneducated man from Punjab who gets to marry Sonia (Ayesha Julka), a modern woman settled in Cape Town. After this village bumpkin from Punjab sets foot in Cape Town, his wife Sonia compels him to work as a male prostitute in order to make enough money so that he can provide for his poor parents back home in Punjab. Sahil resists initially, but when Sonia confiscates his passport, he knows he has little choice and agrees to her demands. As a gigolo, Sahil sleeps with all kinds of women – Asians, Europeans – while Sonia neatly handles the clientele and often sends him for special visits to London. It is during one of these visits Sahil meets Nigar (Nigar Khan) who works as a stripper. Sahil and Nigar click immediately and fall in love. Nigar also obliges one of her clients with a sexual favor in return for something that will free Sahil from his dominating wife’s control. Then one day, Sonia is found raped and murdered. The rest of the movie is just the unraveling of the mystery behind Sonia’s killing. ‘Double Cross’ rides solely on Nigar Khan’s supple anatomy and Sahil’s brawny physique. At the outset, the movie may look like a thrilling entertainer, but in reality it offers nothing more than just titillation. It is an eye-candy titillator with ample doses of sex and lovemaking scenes. The story, no matter how complex and skewed, is simply a lousy excuse.
