HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Saif didn’t trust Preity’s 'instinct'20th Aug 2005 13.25 IST By Aparajita Ghosh Had Saif Ali Khan confided in Preity Zinta ’s “instinct”, the duo may have walked out of the Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 show with at least Rs 50 lakhs more in their pockets. The stars of the forthcoming movie Salaam Namaste appeared on KBC2 – hosted by Amitabh Bachchan – on Friday night. The two, particularly Preity, played expectedly well, and till their 13th question they had not used a single one of their four lifelines. 
On their 13th question, played for the amount of Rs 50 lakhs, Preity had guessed the correct answer, but Saif was unsure. So the duo ‘flipped’ the question and it turned out that Preity’s guess was right. Then, on the 14th question, played for Rs 1crore, Preity again guessed an answer but she wasn’t sure. She said her “instincts” told her that the option she had chosen was the right one. But Saif, again being unsure, chose to withdraw from the game rather than lose their hefty windfall of 50 lakhs to the secured sum of 6.5 lakhs. They intend to give the won amount to charities. After the two had quit, the option was locked and it turned out that Preity had again guessed the right answer. Preity’s cheeks went red when she came to know that they might have won Rs. One crore – and who knows, may be more – had they locked on to her guesses that her “instinct” told her. Even Mr. Bachchan complimented Preity for her “sharp instincts”.
