But even though that hasn’t happened Bobby Deol has his views on the remake of Indian cinema’s biggest and most popular magnum opus. Bobby has no problems with Ramu at all, inspite of the fact that his father Dharmendra was part of the original film’s cast. “Why should I be angry? I think Ramu has every right to make films that he believes in? What’s wrong with remaking Sholay? For that matter, even Sholay is said to be a remake of another earlier film, so what’s the problem?” 
Asked if he regretted that his father was not part of the cast of the remake, inspite of Amitabh Bachchan being cast as Gabbar Singh, Bobby replied, “That’s up to Ram Gopal Varma. He should decide the casting.” It is probably because this great attitude and good nature that Bobby continues to get numerous film offers even if his films hardly hit the bulls eye at the box-office. Bobby’s latest film Barsaat , co-starring sexy sirens Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra has also failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box-office.
