Meera threatens to go on a hunger strike!

Controversies and scandals refuse to let go Pakistani actress Meera . She was recently in the news for a kissing scene and now she has threatened to go on a hunger strike.

Meera, who is acting in Bollywood movies also, has threatened to go on a hunger strike if Pervez Elahi, Chief Minister of the Punjab province, does not give her an appointment to discuss the proposal for the Shafqat Trust, her charity organisation.

Meera said she tried to contact Elahi several times before leaving for India, but he did not respond. What’s so special about Umar Sharif, (Pakistan's leading comedian) that he had been immediately given time, she complained.

The actress regretted lack of support from her government. "I am reaching Pakistan soon, and if the CM does not meet me, I will go on a huger strike," Meera, who is presently in India, told a daily.

Meera will be seen in another Mahesh Bhatt directed film titled ‘Killer’, in which she is performing a role quite similar to the one Madhuri Dixit performed in Tezaab .

Meera has also signed ‘Roti’ co-staring Bobby Deol .

Meera also said she had asked Javed Akhtar to write for her family production, to be released in Pakistan. Interestingly, her sister, Aqsa was also offered a role in another Bhatt directed ‘Gangster’. " I did not accept the role as it required a great deal of exposure," she said.

Supporting her sister, Meera added she wanted an image like that of Juhi Chawla . " I will rather wait for decent roles," she added.
