All know how modest mega superstar Amitabh Bachchan is. He says he doesn't believe in tags like 'superstar' and 'living legend'.
A leading newspaper reports what Bachchan says on his iconic status: "I go out and do my job, and something works for me. That's what people label as success. I am most certain I am not the only successful one. There are so many others. And these epithets are not my creation."
In fact, the report has Bachchan calling Shah Rukh Khan a living legend. We quote Bachchan: "Shah Rukh is the most famous living legend, the superstar."
This reflects Bachchan’s down to earth nature when he, at 63, is in the busiest phase of his life. In the pipeline are ‘Ek Ajnabi’, ‘The Family’, ‘Babul’, ‘Kabhie Al Vida Na Kehna’, and Ram Gopal Varma ‘s version of Sholay .
To add to his modesty, Bachchan says, "I'm just using the opportunities that are coming my way, and if it means 'busy', then I guess I am busy."
Bachchan is impressed with the Gen Young of actors. "They know the system, they're trained, keen to succeed, aggressive, and want to experiment with new ideas. They know their job," he says.
